About me

After achieving a BTEC National Diploma in Animal Care at college I took the position of Trainee Veterinary Nurse in a busy Veterinary Hospital. Here I gained an NVQ Level 2 in Veterinary Nursing.

Since then I have successfully set up two small businesses; Alison’s Home Dog Boarding in the Meon Valley for 6 years and Padfoot Pet Care in Canada for 4 years.

I am now thrilled to be able to bring Padfoot Pet Care back home to the Meon Valley and I’m looking forward to giving pet owners complete peace of mind whilst they are away.

My personality type is dependable and thorough. This means I am punctual, compassionate, and responsive in everything I do hence my ability to provide precise and bespoke care for you pet.

I am simply devoted to animal well-being; just being able to cheer up your pets’ day is hugely rewarding to me and the reason I love what I do.

My Journey

My purpose in life from being very young was to work with animals. My first job was at a Kennels and Cattery. There my passion to care for animals and promote pet well-being grew so I jumped at the offer to work in a Veterinary practice.

Whilst at the vets I gained the ability to remain calm under stressful situations, be thorough, and pay close attention to the specific needs of patients in my care.

With a focused effort on providing dogs with social, emotional, and physical well-being and to give owners the opportunity to avoid placing their dogs into kennels, I was proud to start Alison’s Home Boarding. I enjoyed many years of return custom, understanding that every dog had a different personality and gained great fulfilment from my ability to satisfy the very different needs of every dog in my care.

In 2016 I moved to Alberta, Canada with my family. There I had the opportunity to start my new business, Padfoot Pet Care. Pet safety is of upmost importance, especially in a country where extreme weather and wildlife could be just around the next corner. Ensuring pet safety at all times is second nature to me.

In 2020 we moved back to the Meon Valley. With my intrinsic high standards and over 18 years of animal care experience I am delighted to be able to resume the provision of high quality pet care in the Meon Valley, continuing to provide owners with a professional service tailored to their individual pet’s needs.
